Endometriosis Awareness Month

Did you know that endometriosis affects about 176 million women (or 10%) worldwide? 24 to 50% of women who experience infertility have endometriosis.
This fertility health issue happens when cells or tissues similar to the tissues that form the uterine lining relocate and begin to grow outside the uterus. Endometriosis can grow in and on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowel, and other organs of the pelvic cavity.
It takes on average 7.5 years from when #endometriosis symptoms start to get a proper diagnosis. This is why awareness is so important.💕

“It’s been almost 2 years since seeing Dr. Davenport but never too late to give a review. Dr. Davenport is heaven sent and so is the staff. Coming from trying numerous years to get pregnant, I am thankful for this office. We looked everywhere for answers as to why we could not get pregnant.
After seeing Dr. Davenport, he informed us there was no issue and with a little bit of assistance, we got our miracle baby. I found out I was pregnant August 2019 with our beautiful daughter.
After finding out, I hugged Dr. Davenport and replied, “you did it”. He instantly replied back, “no, God did it”.

A precious miracle…

After trying for 2 1/2 years to get pregnant, our sweet patient came to us for help and had a successful pregnancy within 4 months.
She sent us this pic to tell us how thankful she is for us, but truly we are so thankful as well…for our patients, for each pregnancy in which we are privileged to assist, and for these sweet little miracles.💕

The meaning behind FINA

In Hebrew, the name FINA means “He shall add”. That is exactly what we are about at Fertility Institute of North Alabama (FINA).
Dr. Davenport and his staff will use the most current resources, scientific knowledge, and technology available to make sure that you optimize your chances of a successful pregnancy.
Ultimately we believe that it is God that will add to any family, and can confidently give thanks for every pregnancy in which we are privileged to assist.

Meet Teresa, FINA’s Business Manager! She handles administration and makes sure we have everything we need in order to serve our patients best. She has such a heart for people and absolutely loves taking care of the staff and serving the patients in any way they need.
Teresa loves traveling and spending time at the ballpark with her grandkids.⚾ Her favorite place is the beach.⛱☀ She enjoys cooking, and we at FINA enjoy eating her delicious food!👩‍🍳

Kendra, Tarryn and Abby are gems and they really made me comfortable every time I came into the office. They’re always so sweet and positive. They explained everything that was going on with me very thoroughly. I always looked forward to my visits with them.
 
My last visit was bittersweet and I can truly say I’ll miss this wonderful group of people. We received great news that we’re pregnant and expecting in June of 2022. A special week at FINA!

This is a very special week at FINA! This week marks one year since we began seeing patients in our new facility!✨
We have so enjoyed the extra space and the beautiful architecture. And we have loved the convenience of having our very own state-of-the-art IVF lab and reproductive surgery suite right here in our own building.
We are continually improving so we can serve you better, and we are so thankful for all who choose us to do such an important work in their lives. 💕
